Being in peri-menopause or menopause can be a confusing time and there some frequently asked questions that I get when coaching women. 

Every woman has their own experience and symptoms with menopause . With my own clients some of these symptoms have included: irritability, low mood or moodiness, anxiety, insomnia, fatigue, night sweats, hot flashes, sweating, low libido, depression,Osteoporosis, inflammation, dry skin, dry eyes, Osteopenia

Menopause is when there has been a 12 month break since your last menstrual period, in other words its the end of a womans cycles.

Menopause is when there is a natural decline in reproductive hormones when a woman reaches her 40’s and 50’s, first she will enter perimenopause which will bring changes in menstrual flow and in the length of the cycle.There may also be sudden surges in estrogen.

Again everyone is different but it can typically last 7-10years

Everybody’s transition is different.

The Mediterranean diet is a good anti inflammatory diet to to follow, it consists of foods like wholegrains, vegetables, seafood, fruits, legumes, nuts, seeds and heart-healthy fats.The diet is high in healthy plant foods, low in animal products and meat and allows for fish 2 x week . Extra Virgin olive oil is also allowed and can help with inflammation
